Course Description:
It is estimated that 5-16% of school-aged children demonstrate difficulties with sensory modulation. While it is not yet recognized as a distinct disease, parents seek out occupational therapy for their children to address sensory related factors that impact their daily lives. This training takes an in-depth look at the sensory integration theory and the assessment and treatment of sensory processing disorders. The course will review research, explore assessments and evidence-based intervention, and provide unique strategies and practical teaching tips for effective intervention and results!
